5 Things You May Not Have Thought of When Planning for an Emergency
Ok, so you’ve been gearing up for a SHTF event and have your emergency plan in place. All your items are stocked. You feel like you’re ready for anything. But are you sure?
This article by Gaye Levy of BackDoorSurvival.com shares 5 things you may have totally overlooked. You may just have a DOH! moment 😛
Find out if you missed these so you can stock up…
5 Things You May Not Have Thought of When Planning for an Emergency
- Have Aluminum Foil:Â
Aluminum foil is incredibly valuable especially when it comes to cooking. You can also use it to make a makeshift faraday cage. - Disposable eating utensils:Â
You can now get bamboo eating utensils that are reusable and make for a much easier SHTF scenario. The last thing you’ll want to do is clean the dishes. - Cleaning/Laundry Supplies:Â
You can get cheap eco-detergent, or even have lots of baking soda and vinegar stocked up. These are the ultimate 2 cleaners for pennies on the dollar. If you mix them you’ll cause a reaction that should clean almost anything as the acid and alkaline mix and react. - Cooking Grill or Grate:Â
You’ll need something to cook on. A stone, a grill, a metal cage. Anything. This can be used over an open fire. - Sanitation Supplies:Â
You’ll need sanitation supplies. Staying clean and keeping your ass wiped (literally) is very important. Have washcloths and sanitation capabilities to “reset” during SHTF times.Â
