Here’s a great example of creating alternative power rather than relying on your local electric company. Because when the SHTF, there most likely won’t be any power as we know it now. Of course there’s solar power, but there’s also power generated by the wind. They are used in commercial settings by big companies, but what about creating your own vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT). This one looks awesome and did work to some degree, but the creators are working towards making it better. It’s definitely a great place to start if you want to make your own and use this as model.

Wondering if this design could be used as a water fall or small stream water turbine generator…?
DIY Vertical Axis Turbine if you are like me and want to save money go garbage picking . LOL. I know what you are thinking but most every thing you will need you can find in the trash or go to ware houses and ask if you can have their stuff that don’t want you will be surprised what they will give you for free I got a lot of goodies for free as long as you take it with out bothering any of their employs rember it doesn’t heart to ask 🙂
